Gilt bronze size 3½ with 2.0mm band flared to the shoulders. The oval bezel with a stylized representation of the Zoroastrian Fire Altar. See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p79 for a similar related example and context where the author relates that Rome was involved in several wars with the Parthians resulting in cultural crossover. It is likely that this ring embraced the fire altar symbol as decorative.
