These handmade statement earrings feature hand embroidered silk cherry blossoms with raised and moveable (stumpwork) stamens and gold thread. Perfect for spring! They are 35mm wide and 50mm from the stud to the base of the earring. These took about 2 weeks to make and the process is recorded elsewhere at bilby_silks (see my profile). The circular frame is first couched (stitched) to the fabric using two colours of silk thread. The fabric is tulle with a backing of very fine silk organza.
