Nike launched the On Air contest to give people a chance to create their very own Air Max design inspired by the cities they’re proud to call home. The Air Max 1 'On Air: Tokyo Maze' sneaker, designed by Tokyo winner Yuta Takuman, was released in April 2019. The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Monarch reunites the Amsterdam-based retailer on a revamped edition of the retro silhouette. The upper is crafted from light grey ballistic mesh with white leather overlays and an orange suede Swoosh. The autumnal hue is repeated on a wavy suede mudguard, accented with an embroidered mini-Swoosh on the lateral forefoot. Additional branding elements include woven Patta tongue tags and a Nike Air callout on the back heel.

For the brand’s traveling White Dunk Exhibition in 2003, Nike SB created extremely limited Dunk colorways for the tour’s host cities.
