GP3 for Varhaug in 2010
After a fantastic 2009 season with Jenzer Motorsport was Pål Varhaug was offered a very exciting contract proposal from the team manager Andreas Jenzer from the Swiss team.
Jenzer Motorsports is based on his many years with great results and serious work, received 1 of the 10 seats in total in the very exciting GP3 series starting in 2010. Jenzer Motorsports also delivered this year’s gold winner in the Formula Master, Fabio Leimer.
There are several Team and Team Managers who have followed the boy from Ålgård, Norway in recent years. After the victory in Formula Renault last year, many of those who were excited about the season. Pål has received several offers from other teams for next season, but has chosen to sign the offer and become the first driver for Andreas Jenzer in GP3. In addition, he secures a seat in GP2 if Pål Varhaug continues the fine development he has had in recent years.
-Team Manager Andreas Jenzer and my manager have prepared a general plan for me since the fall of 2006. And by that time, virtually all gone on the rails all the way thanks to a clear vision and plan to achieve our goals. Together we have taken measures and now the result of that Jenz Motorsports has been allocated to me a space in the new GP3 series in 2010. I am very happy for Jenz Motorsports. They deserved to be in the GP3 Series, and that I am proud to be a part of it. Ever since Jenz Motorsports sold WS Renault 3.5 team to Fortec in England, and bought a brand new IFM team, there has been a clear objective, GP3 in 2010, says Pål Varhaug.
GP3 is meant as a stepping stone to GP2 and then Formula 1 The Dallara-produced chassis will be powered by a 2-liter engine developed by Renault F1 and producing 280bhp, and will run on Pirelli tires. As such, it provides category an obvious choice for drivers who have already competed successfully in Formula Master, Formula 3 and Renault 2.0.

It gives the team a chance to participate in the start of a new category and will also give us the opportunity to offer our young Renault 2.0 and IFM drivers the chance to continue their careers in an environment that they are already comfortable in.

-We are a winning team that constantly sets higher goals for the future. Now our new goal, and be in front of GP3 in 2010. All this week starts the first test in Hockenheim (GP3 – 2010 path) which is part of the winter test program for 2010.
